Palmetto Bay known also as “The Village of Parks” was incorporated in 2002. The Village of Palmetto Bay has developed a distinctive character and has become a most sought after area.
It is a charming village with some of the most beautiful parks & historical homes which feature fabulous events such as “Jazz under the Stars” and the “Seafood Festival”.
A major beautification project is giving the village a new waterfront park and library on Biscayne Bay, new street signs, roundabouts, and an extensive landscaping project along the community streets. Their central office facilitates access to government services while building a strong police force presence in their streets.
It is predominantly a residential village with several elegant gated communities and most property lot sizes starting at approximately 18,000 sq ft. The excellent schools, many of those shared with Pinecrest make this area a very desirable neighborhood to raise children. Also, located within close proximity are many of South Florida’s finest private schools.
Situated directly west of Biscayne Bay, east of US1 and between the streets of SW 136th and 184th, Palmetto Bay offers unique recreational activity and bay access.
